Aranet pairing

I bought this aranet several months ago, and I decided to try to pair it to my phone. I turned on the Bluetooth thing twice -- taking the batteries out, following all the trouble shooting suggestions, but my iPhone doesn't even see anything to pair with. Is this a faulty aranet? I've downloaded, deleted, turned off the phone, turned it back on, undone the battery part of the aranet, clicked the thing up and down, put the batteries back in (correctly), tried the whole thing again. Nothing. I'm guessing it's a faulty Bluetooth thing in the aranet? Or is there something else I can try -- I tried to see if other questions/answers addressed this, but there's radio silence from the aranet, I think.

Please check if your iPhone Bluetooth settings allow connection with the sensor: https://forum.aranet.com/all-about-aranet4/what-to-do-when-app-on-apple-ios-devices-shows-that-bluetooth-is-disabled-and-not-possible-to-pair-new-aranet4-devices/
