Hi techsupport,
if I turn off the pin for bluetooth on the aranet4 home, does it still emit any radio, wifi, bluetooth etc. waves? (apart the electromagnetic waves it emits because it is an electric device)
Your tech support mentioned in an earlier post that you can switch off the bluetooth of your phone.
However, would the aranet4 not still emit any bluetooth "waves"?
Here your original post for context (posted in the question: "airplane"):
"You can use your Aranet4 device in an airplane and it will be taking measurements for the time in there. You can turn OFF the bluetooth either fromy our phone or from the Aranet4 device by toggling the 3rd switch down (located on the backside, where the batteries are placed) but be aware you do not need to disable the Bluetooth connection while you are on the airplane. When you use the Airplane mode of your device, check if the Bluetooth remains ON."
Thank you for clarifying!aranet-techsupport

Yes, if you turn off the 3rd (Bluetooth) and 4th pin (Radio), no communication EM waves will be transmitted.

What happens if I switch off the bluetooth on my phone but the 3rd pin with bluetooth in the Aranet4 is ON - does the aranet4 still emit any waves, then?

When Aranet4 is not paired to a smartphone, it enters an advertising mode (also known as broadcasting mode). In this mode, Aranet4 sends out advertising packets periodically. These packets contain information about the device, such as its Bluetooth address, name, and capabilities, to let other Bluetooth-enabled devices know that it is available for pairing or connection.
