How can I measure discretely?

My question might be better worded: Does the Aranet measure accurately if it has a layer between it and the room air, for example, it might be in the pocket of a fleece sweater or light coat or the mesh pocket of a backpack? Sometimes there is no good spot to place it, and I don't want to put it on the floor for fear of it getting kicked by accident. Other times, I'm self conscious taking it out or don't want to be hassled or questioned. Maybe getting the 3D cover you've shared (thank you) is the answer.

Measurements might not be so accurate while Aranet4 is in a closed space like a pocket and would depend on material it is covered with. But to make sure that measurements are as accurate as possible, please check that air inlets of the device are not covered by anything.
