The datasheet of Aranet4 states the battery life with bluetooth disabled.
How significant is the impact of having bluetooth enabled on battery life? Will it still be close to the claimed numbers (e.g. 4.8 years at a 10 minute interval)?
And is the battery drain of bluetooth only occuring when actively reading data through the app, or also when it's on but ot being accessed?

Hi!
The battery life with Bluetooth on and with lithium batteries for a given measurement interval would be:
For 10 min ~3 years.
For 5 min ~ 2.5 years
For 2 min ~ 1.7 years
For 1 min ~ 1.1 yearsvivid.tree4070

Thank you!
That doesn't quite make sense though?
The datasheet states 0.9 with lithium batteries for 1min interval with bluetooth off. So how can it be 1.1 years with bluetooth on?
While on the other hand it states 7 years with bluetooth off for 10min interval, which you state with bluetooth on is only 3 years?
I know any number won't be that precise, just trying to get a sense of whether leaving bluetooth on will shorten battery life by a lot.

The datasheet has old testing data with older firmware which is why it states 0.9 years with 1min interval while the newest data with FW 1.4.14 shows an improvement.
All the battery life data is extrapolated from tests, so they are only approximate, the age of the batteries, temperature, etc. makes a difference in real-life applications.
