Is it normal that out-of-the-box powered Aranet4 device shows active Bluetooth icon on the screen?

Yes, it is normal as the Aranet4 device comes out-of-the-box with the Bluetooth connection enabled, so the user with Bluetooth capable device (phone, tablet etc.) could connect to the Aranet4 device and read measurement data immediately with the Aranet4 application. With default settings Aranet4 device transmits a “beacon” Bluetooth signal so that pairing with user's Bluetooth devices could be possible – so to say device advertises itself for possible Bluetooth connection.

If the user does not need the Bluetooth connection, then it can be turned off by changing the position of the appropriate jumper switch in the device battery compartment:

Bluetooth connection allows seeing measurement data from Aranet4 device on the phone or tablet. Here user only needs to download the Aranet4 app from Google Play or App Store and pair the device in the Aranet4 application as shown in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ER2b9mDPx10

Hi,

I just received my Aranet4 and it is not showing the Bluetooth icon. I tried removing the batteries, turning the bluetooth switch to OFF, then back to ON, and replacing the batteries. However, it is still not showing that Bluetooth is on.
