Is it really necessary to update the Aranet4 app to the latest version?

Updating the app is highly recommended. The operation and functionality of Aranet4 is constantly being improved and these upgrades are implemented in the latest versions of the app. App updates also contain Aranet4 device firmware updates which should also be updated to the latest version.

Aranet is constantly improving app and device functionality and has launched a new version of the Aranet4 app. Please download and update your Aranet4 app to the newest version.
Starting from the 5th of October we will start incrementally roll-out a new Aranet4 device firmware 1.2.0 which will be available through your Aranet4 app. New device firmware will change sensor identification and will open new integration possibilities for all existing Aranet4 devices.
Aranet4 app version 3.2.3 and older is not compatible with new firmware 1.2.0, therefore we highly recommend to update your app before 5th of October.
If you are using Aranet4 with your Aranet4 app please ensure that you have the latest app version - 3.2.8 or greater.
