Outdoor C02 is never the 420 ppm. Does this mean the senor is inaccurate or poorly calibrated.

  I just opened up a new Aranet4 monitor and set it up. 
  
  The manual suggests that outdoor c02 in the fresh air should reach the 420 ppm. I spent a few hours placing it outdoors in various locations with plenty of trees and grass. The c02 concentration never got below 470 ppm. Does this indicate that the sensor is off? Or do outdoor c02 levels vary dramatically?
