I have been using Aranet4 since yesterday. Firmware is updated and I switched calibration to auto. Am concerned about readings which are consistently between 150-200 higher than another device I have, temperature off by about 2 degrees and humidity by about 5%. Have put them both outside: other gives reading of around 465, Aranet of 590. Checked with the link you provided in another part of forum, and my outside reading should be around 445. Both devices now inside next to me. Aranet is 881, the other is 650. Any suggestions? For me, the size is great but concerned that I might have to return device as find it hard to believe that it's working correctly. Bit disappointing as had heard it was dependable, and it is quite expensive :-).
Thanks for your helpBTW bought from Amazon and product box came with no plastic wrapping so it was easy to open. Is it possible that I received a returned, maybe faulty, item?

Hello ziggy,
We recommend making manual calibration instead of auto: https://forum.aranet.com/all-about-aranet4/how-can-i-calibrate-my-aranet4/
Please compare Aranet4 readings after manual calibration and if they differ significantly from the third-party service data, contact support@aranet.com.

Thanks. Will try but one Q beforehand. Instructions say that to calibrate manually, I have to switch from 'manual to automatic and back to manual' with batteries in. Setting is currently on 'automatic', so should I remove batteries, switch to manual, replace batteries, wait a while, then follow the instructions, or can I flip from automatic to manual with batteries in, and then follow indicated sequence? Thanks again.

To start manual calibration from the device, you need to trigger the calibration switch without taking out the batteries. Use SIM-tool provided with the sensor.
You can also run manual calibration from the Aranet4 app without triggering the switch.
