Sensor not returning to baseline after peaks

My sensor doesn't seem to want to return to the baseline after high readings. I was in a taxi with all windows shut, the sensor reached 4000+ and after that I couldn't get to go below 800 even when leaving the sensor outside. I performed the calibration, took it somewhere where it went 1000+ and again after that the readings wouldn't get below 600 even outdoors. I recalibrated (this is all in the space of 3 weeks) but now I feel like I can't trust the readings as I don't know if they are artificially elevated.
The calibration is done using the app, the sensor is on manual mode.
[update, I have just read posts about firmware updates so have now updated to 1.3.5, let's see if that helps]

Hi bangkokian,
Thanks for the message.
Keep us updated.
And please, look at this post about calibration one more time and make sure that you do it the bast way.

Hi,
it seems to be returning to baseline ok but I was checking your website and I see it says long battery life up to 5 years - whereas mine seems to be running through batteries in 3 months (1 minute intervals for readings, no alarm activated). Also, it seems very sensitive to movement - as soon as I carry it around in my bag (in the outer mesh pocket) I invariably get the error message 8106 so I have to recalibrate again. Could it be damaged, if I can't even take it around without it needing recalibration?
If I do the RMA form, do I have to send the sensor to the USA? I live in Thailand.
Thanks!

Ah I see you are in Latvia. So I would have to send it there? The latest calibration attempt returned 'unexpected error'....
