Aranet Radiation buzzer beeps slightly on every reading despite radiation levels being very low. Could it be a hardware problem?

Hi, in the Aranet Home app, in device settings there are 3 options for the buzzer. Off, On, every time and On, once. Make sure that it is not set to On, every time.
And there you can also check the warning thresholds, those might be why it peeps every time.rtar

It is set to "off" and warning thresholds are "Default", and radiation level is around 0.07, which is lower than default.
It still beeps a little bit each time the measurement is made. I can make a video for you.

If you want it off, then make sure that the 2nd switch (buzzer) is off (down) in the back of the device behind the batteries. It is on by default.

If I will switch off the 2nd switch, then doesn't it mean it won't make any sound if radiation level is high (in red zone) as well?

This is a good question. I never heard the buzzer since I switched it off. Need to experiment and try to set red zone lower.

If you make sure that in the Aranet Home app you have still enabled the buzzer, then it will still beep when the threshold is crossed.
The buzzer is designed in case you do not use the Home app. So to turn it off you need to disable it in the app and on the device, but to enable it you just need to do either or.uldis

Thanks for the replay. Please @rtar let us know here, if you manage to test it.

I seem to have something similar - the device randomly beeps - no matter which setting (off/on always/on once) is set in the App, it randomly beeps sometimes at the reading interval, sometimes in between.
I thought it might be whenever the reading changes - but that doesn't seem to be the case.Have had it on for about 9 hours - readings from 0.03-0.07 μSv/hr.
Running Firmware v1.4.43

Hi!
Make sure to turn the 2nd switch off at the back behind the batteries on the sensor itself. Then you can configure the app to how you like it.
The switch allows the buzzer to chirp everytime the sensor gets hit with a bit of ionised radiation.
