Dead device

While I was away my Aranet4 batteries ran dead. The screen shows the battery symnbol with a stroke through it. I've replaced the batteries and it doesn't restart. I've tried multiple sets of brand new batteries as well. Is there a reset option that I don't know about? The unit itself wasn't dropped or damaged in any way, it was just sitting on a shelf when the batteries ran out and had been working perfectly fine up until that time. Thanks.

Hello hiebzky,
Thank you for choosing Aranet and contacting us. How long did it took for batteries to get drained completely? Could you please try to remove batteries from device for 15 minutes and place them back, see if it starts to work after that? Also, could you please check if the 3rd and 4th switches are off (moved downwards) as this will turn of Radio and Bluetooth. In case it starts to work, please enable(move upwards) 3rd switch for Bluetooth to use Aranet4 app.
If issue still persist, please contact support@aranet.com
Regards,
Aranet Tech support

Had same problem. The key is after taking the batteries out to wait until the dead battery sign changes to the Aranet symbol shown above. Then insert the batteries and it will work!

I have the same problem. Device shows no battery, tried taking the batteries out for an hour... put in fresh ones, front screen flashes aranet logo then goes back to dead battery screen.

Mine went to dead batteries while I was on vacation at the end of the year. I got back to the office yesterday and changed batteries to no effect. I found this thread and removed them yesterday, but still a dead battery screen today. Flipped switch 3 to down as mentioned above about an hour ago and still a dead battery screen.
Any other suggestions?

FInally decided what-the-heck and put the batteries back in and it came back to life. (and then i had to take them out again to flip the bluetooth switch, but I put them back in again and it seems to be working).

We purchased our Aranet 4 Home in 2022. Last month, the no battery symbol appeared - have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions above, with no success - contacted Aranet, but since it is past warranty, they will not fix or replace it (but have offered me 10% off a new one - but Amazon is cheaper even with the 10% off). Have to admit, I was disappointed in Aranets customer service as this "no battery symbol" is a known issue :( My family owns 5 of these Aranet 4's and none of the other ones have had that issue. Having said that, I just bought an Aranet Radon as the products do seem very solid - I just think I got a lemon on my Aranet 4 :(
I've left batteries out now for over 2 weeks - and the no battery symbol is still showing - so if anyone else has a magical other option to try, I'd love to unbrick my Aranet 4 :) Cheers!
