Can someone please explain how the Aranet Home app collects the data from an Aranet4 device when the function "Background data read" is switched on?
How often is the data collected from the device?
Does the app have to open constantly on iOS and iPadOS devices? Or does it also collect data when it's not open?
Does it require having some specific settings set on iOS or iPadOS for it to work properly? Is there already any written information or instruction on how to use this function correctly?

Background data synchronization to the mobile phone – if it is enabled, the phone/tablet every few hours reads data from nearby paired Aranet4 Devices, the app runs as a background process on the phone.
How often is the data collected from the device?
The app collects the data from the devices once it is opened if "Background data read" is turned off and every few hours even if the app is closed, if it is turned on.
Does the app have to open constantly on iOS and iPadOS devices? Or does it also collect data when it's not open?See above
Does it require having some specific settings set on iOS or iPadOS for it to work properly? No, just bluetooth access for the app to connect to Aranet devices.
Is there already any written information or instruction on how to use this function correctly?
Not really as this is quite a basic function.
