iPhone and two Aranet4 devices: One pairs, the other doesn't

I have two Aranet4 devices. One of them reliably connects to my iPhone and is accessible through the Aranet4 app without issue. The other device (hereafter the "faulty device") doesn't.
The faulty device connects sometimes, and sometimes it fails. There's no apparent rhyme or reason to it. It may appear to be connected, but then fail to respond. It has nothing to do with range; it's the same when it's right next to the iPhone. It can't be a problem with my iPhone, because the other Aranet4 is working properly. Still, I've tried turning my phone off and on, deleting and reinstalling the Aranet4 app, checked the Bluetooth settings, toggled the Bluetooth configuration pin off and on, everything I can think off. The result is the same: the one Aranet4 device connects, and the faulty device isn't connecting. I can't think of anything else other than that the device itself really is the problem. But I'm open to any other help.

Hi!
Do you by any chance have on the faulty advice enabled "Bluetooth extended range"? If so, please try disabling it and let us know if the situation improves.
