firmare update locks app home screen

  After a successful firmware update, the home screen on the app is stuck with only the message "Firmware updated!" displaying.  I cannot view information from the device now.  The device is working fine.  How can I restore the usual display of the home screen?

  The situation resolved when I moved the phone away and Bluetooth connection was lost!  Once that happened, the home screen reverted to displaying information from the sensor's last connection, and when Bt connection was re-established, all was normal.
