Aranet4 Incorrect Temperature

  Just unboxed my Aranet4 and the temperture is clearly incorrect. It's reading 83F which is way too hot - my smart thermostat reports 73 which I believe to be correct. 

  Is there a way to calibrate the temperature, or do I have a faulty unit?

  I'm having the same issue.  Showing a good 20 degree F hotter than actual temp outside.  I also had an issue with CO2 calibration.  New out of the box it would not read much lower than 500 ppm outside.  I did manual calibration, which I guess resets outside air to 420 ppm, but what if actual outdoor ppm is 450 ppm based upon that third-party link to current outdoor air CO2 levels?

  Do I actually not really care what the actual outdoor air CO2 baseline is, since what I should care about is increase from baseline, since most metrics for actions are framed assuming outdoor air or 400 or 420 ppm?

  Hi rhinochaser,

  Aranet4 sensors are factory calibrated against 0 ppm CO2. When calibrating the device manually against outdoor air, it is assumed that the normal CO2 level is 420 ppm. To be sure about Aranet4 measurements you can compare its CO2 outdoor measurement after calibration with the third-party services data, f.e. mentioned in this topic: https://forum.aranet.com/all-about-aranet4/how-can-i-calibrate-my-aranet4/

  For future reference, I ended up just having to wait - over a period of a couple days, the temperature reading slowing came down until it was in line with my other thermometers.
