household jump to unhealthy levels (2600)

We've had an Aranet4 since August for home use, and have measured levels inside the house in the 500–1100 range when doors and windows are closed. As of two days ago, with all doors/windows closed, levels have jumped from highs of about 1100 to as high of 2600. They have been around 1800 overnight. We are just two inhabitants. We have a gas stove but the levels don't seem affected by using the stove. The level drops to 800-900 when we open windows/doors, but it's cold out and we'd prefer to keep the house shut. Our air filters were cleaned a few weeks ago. What could have caused such a large jump in C02 levels as high as 2600 when doors/windows are shut?

Perhaps something has been more involved were the Aranet4 is located? Be aware that it can also be affected by animals or plants that are around. To lower the CO2 levels opening a door to the outside or a window is the way to do it but indeed is difficult in winter time. If you see the environment where the Aranet is measuring hasn't change and suspect nothing is affecting it, then please perform a Manual Calibration of your device.

Hi, I am a new user and bought this because I am hyper-sensitive and am soon to move into a condo I bought that has a gas stove that is not vented to the outside of the building and I want to gauge what the reading is when I use the stove. What is the optimal location for the Aranet unit when I am testing this? After I turn off the stove if I have it wall mounted by a door about 15 feet from the stove, will it adjust to let me know the overall reading of the room following cooking?

Yes, the Aranet4 will adjust to let you know the overall reading in the room you are using it. You mentioned that it is wall mounted "by a door", just be aware that if the door is open the CO2 concentration that will sense will be comming from the environment on the next room.
