Hi,
we got Aranet Rn+ device about 6 months ago (Jan 2026). It was working beautifully but...
- yesterday we noticed it rebooted a few times (by itself, just sitting on the shelf rebooting, showing the data for a while after the boot, rebooting again a bit later). This morning I took the batteries out, cleaned it up - so far it's working OK but it's been few hours only, early to say.
- another (bigger) problem - while looking at the data I saw a huge gap in data in the app - effectively, the data between end of May and July 17 is totally missing! Data from April through end of May is still there but nothing between end of May until July (the device was definitely working during this period, it was showing data on the screen but nothing can be seen in the app, no temp/humidity/rn levels recorded at all :( )
I haven't been actively monitoring it on the phone in the past couple of months, can't say for certain if the gap was there before but the device was definitely showing data, I was looking at it while passing by many times per day.Anyone experienced anything like that? We've lost a lot of data...
Firmware v1.9.4, the app is up to date (3.9.3, android).
Thanks!greenaxolottle

My Aranet4 has a similar issue! It cuts out for about 8-12 hours at a time seemingly at random. All firmware and app software is up to date. I use several for laboratory purposes and they all have this same issue. We connect to the device regularly, and it always seems to cut out right when my experiment starts. Terrible timing.

Hello base64,
If your Radon Plus sensor is restarting unexpectedly, the cause may be oxidation or corrosion on the battery contacts.
Please follow these steps:-
Remove the batteries.
-
Carefully clean the battery contacts using a small flat-head screwdriver or another suitable tool to gently remove any oxidation or corrosion.
-
Reinstall the batteries.
-
Check whether the sensor is operating normally.
-
Monitor your device for at least a month.
If the problem persists after cleaning the contacts, please contact our support team by writing us an email, to support@aranet.com for further assistance.
Or fill out the RMA form.
Regarding the data gap, please make sure that Background data read is turned on. This can be done in the Aranet Home app settings.
Background data read option will gather the sensor data whenever you are around the sensor. This can prevent data loss.-
